Veronica Scotti was appointed Group Managing Director, Chairperson Swiss Re Public Sector Solutions (PSS) in July 2018 with a mandate to establish and grow globally the public sector business segment on behalf of the Swiss Re Group.
In over two decades with Swiss Re, Veronica has acquired extensive experience in the insurance industry, both in Life & Health and Property & Casualty lines, with very broad international and functional exposure. Since joining Swiss Re HQ in Zurich in July 2002, she has held roles in asset management, strategy, risk management and products. Since 2007, she has performed in various client-facing roles in Zurich (Head of Business Development EMEA, Key Account Manager Globals), New York (Client Executive, MD) and Toronto (President and CEO of Canada & English Caribbean), until her return to Zurich in 2018 to assume her current position.
Prior work experiences include a career in investment banking (1997-2002), as a corporate financier and structured products specialist, working in the UK, Switzerland and Italy with Fox-Pitt Kelton, Banque Paribas, Union Bank of Switzerland; and as a part-time researcher at Banco di Napoli (1994-96).
