Our Strategy

The strategy sets out the Centre for Disaster Protection’s direction and ambition for 2025–2030.

Building on our progress to date, it responds to a rapidly changing global context for disaster risk financing. With climate risks increasingly recognised as fiscal risks, and new international initiatives reshaping the crisis finance landscape, the urgency to act has never been greater.

Our goal is clear: to ensure disaster financing delivers effective and equitable protection for people at risk. Over 2025–2030, the Centre will focus on unlocking smarter, fairer, and more pre-arranged disaster financing solutions—so that countries are better prepared, crises are better managed, and communities are better protected.
