The Centre is pleased to welcome new specialists to its team

We are excited to announce that Theodore Talbot, Cristina Stefan, Omaira Choudhry and Jessica Texter have joined the team bringing years of experience across a diverse range of sectors.

Theo Talbot joins the senior leadership team as Chief Economist & Associate Director for Sustainable Finance having previously been a senior economist and innovative finance lead with the World Bank in the secretariat of Global Partnership for Education, where he established and scaled up new financing solutions for low income countries.

Theo will be leading on aspects of our client services and thought leadership, and ensuring that high quality economic expertise is integrated throughout our work.

We also welcome Cristina Stefan to the role of Lead Risk Finance Adviser who brings a wealth of expertise in designing alternative risk transfer products such as CAT Bonds, ILS solutions and parametric reinsurance and was involved in the World Bank led financial response to the tenth Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Omaira Choudhry, is a specialist in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) having worked with international donor agencies, national governments and the private sector across diverse sectors and regions. Finally, Jessica Texter joins as the Centre’s Projects and Communications Officer.

“We’re delighted to welcome these exceptional people to our team. With around 30 years of experience between them, the variety of skills and knowledge they bring will inform and really enhance the work we’re doing to change how the world prepares and pays for disasters.”
