The Sahel is one of the world's most climate-vulnerable regions, where droughts, floods and extreme weather push millions of vulnerable people deeper into poverty. This report examines how governments across Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali, Mauritania and Senegal can better plan and budget for disasters before they strike, setting out practical recommendations for building smarter, more responsive social protection financing systems.
