Daniel Lund

Special Adviser to the Fijian Government

Daniel has spent the last 15 years supporting the Pacific region’s response to climate change working directly with both communities and Governments. Daniel was appointed Special Adviser on Climate Change for the Fijian Government in 2018 and has since led the development of Fiji’s Climate Change Act, National Climate Change Policy, and revised National Energy Policy. Daniel has coordinated the development of Fiji’s Drua Incubator – a sub-unit of Fiji’s Climate Change and International Cooperation Division dedicated to developing and piloting innovative financial products while supporting regional efforts to develop fit for purpose financial arrangements for managing climate risk. Daniel was a member of the Transitional Committee on Loss and damage and is representing SIDS as a member of the newly established Loss and Damage Fund Board.

Daniel holds a Masters of Science degree in Carbon Management from the University of Edinburgh, a PGCert in Carbon Innovation, a PGCert in Climate Change Management,  a BA Hons in English and Critical Writing from the University of Sussex.
