
Adam McVie
Adam is a disaster risk financing and resilience adviser with over a decade of experience working across humanitarian and development sectors. He brings technical expertise in anticipatory action, sovereign insurance, climate risk financing, and emergency response, with operational and advisory experience spanning the Pacific, West Africa, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe.
He holds a Master’s degree in Risk, Disasters and Resilience and a Bachelor’s degree in Disasters, Reconstruction and Development. His current work at the Centre for Disaster Protections bridges policy, programming, and financing, with a focus on helping governments and partners better plan for, respond to, and recover from shocks.
