Ben Webster
Ben is Associate Director for Advisory, Training and Policy Engagement at the Centre. In this role, he contributes to strengthening technical and policy advice for countries, donors, and multilateral organisations, helping to expand the reach and impact of pre-arranged finance (PAF) mechanisms.
Having spent more than two decades working in the humanitarian and development community (and across Africa, Asia and the Middle East), Ben brings a deep knowledge of what it means to plan and prepare for disasters at local, national and global levels. In his role with the Risk-informed Early Action Partnership (REAP), he particularly enjoyed convening stakeholders from across governments, international organisations, civil society actors and the private sector in order to drive systemic change and manage disaster risk more proactively.
In his spare time, Ben enjoys watching or playing various sports and providing a taxi service for his 2 children.
