
Anna DeGrauw
As Senior Policy Advisor, Anna DeGrauw works on global disaster risk financing agendas, specifically related to debt pause clauses and pandemic and epidemic risk. She also engages with G20 and G7 institutional processes, such as the G20 Disaster Risk Reduction Working Group.
Anna joins the Centre from the development and humanitarian sectors, most recently working within the United Nations system at the International Labour Organization, UNESCO-International Institute for Education Planning, and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean. While at the ILO, she worked on global initiatives, such as the UN Secretary-General’s Global Accelerator for Jobs and Social Protection for Just Transitions.
Within national and international policy landscapes, Anna is interested in applying a gendered lens to disaster risk management, climate adaptation and mitigation strategies, and social protection.
She holds an MA in International Affairs from Johns Hopkins SAIS and an MSc in Globalization and Development from SOAS University of London.
