Dulce Pedroso
Dulce leads the Centre’s communications helping the Centre change the discourse around disasters.
Dulce combines 15 years of experience in development programmes such as the UK Government Prosperity Fund and the Girls’ Education Challenge with a strategy toolkit gained in the eight years she worked as a management consultant at PwC. She also spent two years advising on communications and building media partnerships on maternal and child health in Northern Nigeria.
A deep interest in the role of language and narratives in reinforcing and shifting power led Dulce to complete a Master’s in Communication for Development at Malmö University. She also holds a Master’s with Distinction in Sociology from the University of Birmingham, and a BSc in Sociology from the University of Bristol.
Dulce rides her bike everywhere and passionately advocates for sustainable, healthy and equitable cities. She is an Equity and Justice Research Fellow at the Active Travel Academy, University of Westminster.
